2026, January through March

⮝ A somewhat messy drawing I did inspired by an image I saw somewhere of a skull composed of the mandible of a dog and the top half of a human skull. I imagine this guy as being a generic TTRPG cultist living in a sewer somewhere near you. Graphite pencil drawing imported into ibispaint and rendered there.
⮝ Everyone's favorite single mom who works two jobs, Rusty from the Venture Bros. Used this as an experiment with more expressive and cohesive colors. Pencil drawing imported into ibispaint and rendered there.
⮝ Scribbly lighting practice. Pencil drawing imported into ibispaint and rendered there.

⮝ Eerie little piece about how animals often feel like they know more than they're letting on. Somewhat inspired by an experience I had with an owl that I've never been able to properly transfer to paper. Fully digital in ibispaint.
⮝ Experiment with stylizing color. I don't do enough still lifes, it's a big weakness for me. Fully digital.
⮝ Experiment with chiaroscuro. To be honest, I wasn't confident enough with the blacks in this one. Maybe I'll redo it one day. Fully digital.
⮝ A duck in the forest in fall. Frankly the trees are too congealed, but I like how it turned out other than that. Fully digital.

⮝ Chill little tower on an island. Fully digital.

⮝ Stylized color practice of a golden retriever. The anatomy of her skull is wonky, but if you turn your screen sideways, you won't be able to tell! Maybe don't try that if the monitor you're currently using is heavy and expensive. Fully digital.
⮝ Practice with using color to define the focal point. I really enjoy making landscapes with a little animal main character. Fully digital.

⮝ Gray fox in the snow. These guys are very underrated compared to their red friends. I like the way he stands out from the background. Fully digital.
⮝ An experiment with stylized blending in color. Gold frame inspired by art nouveau. Fully digital.

⮝ A woman in the city. Her eyes look like they belong to two different people, but I like how I rendered her so it all evens out. Fully digital.
⮝ This was my phone background for a hot minute, and has no deeper meaning than "I want a pretty phone background." It's Keith Haring now, but I still really like the look of it. Fully digital.
