My favorite things from March, 2026

Book: The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. Very compelling main character combined with insanely good prose and imagery. Holy shit man. The kind of mind-altering book that makes me want to get a tattoo. I know it's a very famous book and you don't need to hear it from me, but highly recommend.

Show: Heated Rivalry, which a friend of mine has been trying to get me to watch for months. She was right, that shit slapped. The actor Connor Storrie, a young white man, playing the role of Ilya from Heated Rivalry. He is shirtless and looking at his phone in a locker room. I really loved the pacing and how effectively they showed the passage of time through set design and costuming! Also it was sexy. I'm just some gay dude at the end of the day.
